Big Fish Story
I’ve have my fair share of odd things happen in my life, but nothing compares to the time I received a letter from the National Soccer Camp Organization. The letter explained that the camp had been tracking me and that they invited to me to an elite soccer camp. I had three possible places to choose from. England, Brazil or Spain. I love England, so I decided to spend my summer there. It was just how I expected, chaotic and beautiful. It may have been cold, but it was worth it. I along with a million other girls checked into our hotel room and threw other bags on each of our beds. It was already eleven pm and the next morning we had to get up at four, so we all decided to crash. What felt like five minutes later, my alarm rang. "Great" I mumbled under my breath sarcastically. All the girls groaned and started to find their gear for practice. When we were all ready, we headed out of the hotel and into the charter buses. When we got to where the camp was being held I realized, I was way in over my head. I started to panic and felt my heart drop into my stomache. The practice was in Whembley Stadium. The biggest football stadium in England. I felt my knees lock up as the girls started to file out of the bus. Five minutes into practice, my nerves seemed to disappear. I pushed myself farther than I have ever before. I was called over by all the coaches and they informed me that they were very impressed with my efforts. After months of pushing myself and becoming better, the coaches gave me a deal. They said, you can go home and play on an amazing team or you can stay here, and play on a semi-professional team. I had a decision to make, leave everything and take is unreal opportunity, or stay in my comfort zone. I wish my story was real, my dream, I was close, but this story, will always just be a big fish tale.
Roxy
I practically live at my best friend Jill’s house, as does every other girl. Im very close with not only her but her dog Roxy, also. I know it sounds odd that I’m close with my best friend’s dog, but I am. She’s very easy to talk to and she talks back to you, in dog language of course. Roxy is a Rottweiler/Chocolate lab. She is gorgeous, for a dog obviously. She’s a very protective dog and always looks out for the people she loves. She’s basically a human being, just more caring. You know the saying a dog is a man’s best friend? that’s a perfect saying for Roxy. If you spend enough time with her, you cant help but love her. She may think she’s a lot smaller than she actually is, but im glad she’s a big dog, if she was small, she wouldn’t be big enough for her huge heart.
