Since High School started, I’ve made a lot of new friends, lost some, and reconnected with old ones. For example, this year I met Kelly, she’s in my global Ed class. I also met up with Dani; she’s also in that class. These girls are the reason I have a blast in that class. There the type of people to make you laugh and too make my problems seem so distant. Last year I lost a few friends, Siarra and Haley were the main ones. This year we started to talk a lot more. Were back to being best friends again, and I hope it stays that way.
I’ve been to a few SHS activities. I gone to a few football games, I also went to the invisible children movie and the welcome back dance. The freshmen dance was the first event I went to. I’m looking forward to homecoming and everything that’s coming after that.
My hardest class is definitely Japanese. I’m trying my best just to get through the semester. There are so many different things to learn. I’m starting to understand the language better and starting to get better grades. But just because today I don’t completely understand it doesn’t mean tomorrow it won’t click, I just have to get there.
“Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus is one of the biggest songs out right now. So is “3” by Brittney Spears. My favorite songs are pretty old. “When I’m gone” by Eminem is my favorite song of all. I also really like “Jamie all over” by Mayday Parade. Those are a few years old, but I’ll never get sick of them.
One of the most popular movies out right now has to be Paranormal Activity. Every one of my friends has told me there dragging me to see it...not going to happen. There is no way id could ever sit through a movie like that. I may be a wuss, but that almost always works out in my advantage.
Rumors about high school are so far off, it’s ridiculous. I guess I sort of knew that going in, but I was way more nervous then I needed to be. I heard that the first week of school almost every freshman was going to be put through hell. The first week wasn’t that bad, nothing happened to me or any of my friends. I was shaking I was so nervous the first day, I walked in the school and every nerve went away, I had fun the rest of the day.
Here’s some advice for all you freshman, for the first day of high school, don’t even bother being nervous, it not worth it. You’ll have a great time; this school is fun, if you want it to be. And if you do have a bad day, keep this with you, just because today is a terrible day, doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be the best day of your life; you just got to get there.
Home coming is tomorrow. The day that some people have been waiting for since the first day of school. At first I wasn’t really excited for homecoming. But my friend got me to realize that homecoming is what you make it. If you got there all quiet and dreading it, It won’t be fun for you, but if you go to have a good time, you’ll have a good time.
If you were an 80’s kid, I’m guessing bright colors and pop music was your fad or trend. A 90’s kid, there were so many to chose from, overalls, snap bracelets, full house, power rangers, and pokemon were your life. For the kids of the 2000’s, it’s the Wii, Xbox and play station. Cell phones also became more popular in the 2000’s. So, I guess you could say, there more of a technology generation.
My first cultural event was the invisible children movie the school played after school. Note to self: don’t see a sad movie in a public place…especially school. It was a great movie, and just happened to move me to tears, scratch that, I sobbed. Im glad I wasn’t the only one though. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. When the movie was over some of the teachers talked about what he had just saw. With my best friend comforting me, I finally stopped crying. All and all, I had a really good time.
Im looking forward to the dances that are coming. I had an awesome time at homecoming. My friends and I were dancing and being obnoxious. There was no drama, witch I was surprised at. The drama is the reason I hate dances, so I was thankful there was none at all. I’m hoping I have as much fun as I did there.
I had so many funny moments just this school year. The funniest moment that has happened to me this year, happened with my best friend Ryan and I. We were at my locker and he leaned up against the locker next to mine. Unfortunately, I didn’t see him there. I didn’t mean to, but I hit him in the face with the door of my locker. And he had to go back to his fourth hour with a huge red line down his face. I’m a good friend.
There are so many current events. Like the balloon boy, the two pilots that lost their licenses because they flew over there destination, and the new obama bill. One that happened today was that NASA shot a rocket instead of a space shuttle to the moon.
